Just to clarify: I am a two time giveaway hostess and I don't have a fancy system to draw a winner, yet. So I chose the next best thing available.

Pumpkin Patch/Update on Lucy

Last weekend Justin was home and he promised me weeks in advance a trip to the pumpkin patch. I only require a few things regarding holidays and attending the pumpkin patch, purchasing pumpkins, and taking pictures is a must each year.

Justin was not thrilled about the weekend we picked because it was 91 degrees out. He said it didn't feel like fall. But we didn't have many open weekends a head of us and I couldn't bare the thought of skipping the pumpkin patch this year. So he put a short sleeved shirt on...and took it like man!

Our first trip to the pumpkin patch as Mr. and Mrs.

We got our "perfect" pumpkins.
1 for him. 1 for me. 1 for Lucy.
If you will notice we chose a mixed breed pumpkin for our mixed breed dog.
We put a lot of thought into it. :)

I heart this picture and this little red bench. Last but not least....Lucy with our pumpkins.
She is thrilled. Can't you tell?

Speaking of Lucy. It is time for an update on her.
We went back for her blood test following her heart worm treatment and it came back NEGATIVE! So, the vet cleared her to exercise. Which was awesome because she has been confined to leash walks for 4 months. And for a dog that loves to be outside this was torture for EVERYONE involved. She would just cry and pace the floor. SO SAD!
We will go back in March for a second blood test and hopefully be cleared for good.

Please make sure and give your dog heart worm preventative. I would be happy to field any questions you may have, it is totally worth it. Heart worm treatment isn't cheap. The preventative is worth the bill and your pups life!

Tuesday's List: Slow Cooker Recipe

Turkey Chili

We eat chili a ton in the winter . I have basically made this fool proof and a little more healthy.

I buy a chili kit called "2 Alarm Chili Kit". I don't follow the directions, I make my own. (Welcome to my life)

Combine the following with the chili kit:

• 2 lbs of ground turkey meat
• 2 cans of tomato soup
• 1 can of chili beans (or beans of your choice)
• 1 handful of wheat elbow noodles (noodles at my husbands request...wheat at mine. It's all about compromise)

It makes a ton and the two of us can eat on it for days and after each day it seems to get better.

Hi, My name is Lindsey and I'm a TV Junkie....

It's time for another list and this week its a list of my favorite shows! The fall has a pretty intense line up! I watch them all. This list will only give you a few of my favs! Apparently I have quite the soft spot for the whales. Whale Wars is a little extreme at times...but I am absolutely fascinated!
It's amazing to see the transformations of the contestants. I usually pick a favorite and cheer them on throughout the show. Plus Bob and Jillian are BEASTS!

You would think I have outgrown MTV. But Teen Mom just sucks me in! I personally like Macy, she seems to have it together!

The Real Housewives of OC, ATL, NC, DC, and NY...I do NOT discriminate. They are basically the definition of trashy TV and I LOVE IT!!!

Grey's, I am still watching you because I am faithful. But you better step it up.

I LOOOOOVE CASTLE!!! I'm sure you are thinking, "Oh, not another crime show!!" But in all seriousness...you HAVE TO WATCH! Justin and I live for Monday's just to watch Castle. It isn't like all the other NCIS blah blah blah....it is hilarious and mysterious all in 1 hour. It is a must watch.
