Say Cheese!!

Because we chose Image Forward Photography as our wedding photographer we were unable to get engagement pictures due to distance and mine and Justin's schedule. My mother was insistent on having a few pictures to use at showers, in the paper, and at local stores where we are registered. Thanks to my sister Jill, Vicki, Robin, and Diana for taking the afternoon to snap a few pictures of Justin and I. You all did a fantastic job and we really appreciate you all jumping in and helping us! Take a look a JUST A FEW (there were hundreds) pictures from our shoot.

68 days to go. I'll be going home this weekend for my first shower. On my trip home I'll be carrying my dress....any ideas on how to protect it and fly with it are welcome! I hope everyone had a wonderful restful weekend!

Wedding Transportation

A Wedding + A Bus = A Party

That's right for our wedding we are renting a bus for our transportation. We wanted something our entire wedding party could be together and have some room to celebrate! We are so excited. It is important to us both to spend some time with our friends that took that time to make our day perfect.

If you are ever looking for a new vacation spot, you should visit the Biltmore in Asheville, North Carolina. I am so lucky to live in a state that has so much to offer. Sadly, I haven't seen the half of it. But I went with the weekend crew (My sister and Friends) to visit Asheville. It was absolutely beautiful and I learned so much!
The weekend started with a dog rescue. I am always looking for stray puppies, in fact Lucy is one. :) And I happen to be traveling with 4 other dog lovers. Between the five of us we own 6 puppies, most being rescues. So when we saw this little pup we had to stop. Happily, we found the owners...it was very rewarding!
We eventually made it to Hot Springs, NC where we had a mineral bath. Did I mention this bath was outside on the bank of a river? A-mazing!
While in Hot Springs we visited the Appalachian Trail. I'm sure you have heard of it, but I had not. This trail goes from Georgia to Main and Hot Springs, NC happens to be a place where the trail crosses. So I got to have my picture taken on the trail. It is fascinating to me that people hike that far!

Next we visited the Biltmore Estate. Isn't it beautiful? The grounds, the house, the winery ;) were all breath taking. At one point my sister asked me if I was having a good time because I was so quiet. I was just amazed. If you are looking for a romantic getaway in the US...look it up!

We spent some time in downtown Asheville and we saw this....

This is a REAL GIRL! Again, I was fascinated. When you tip her...she played her drum. I could have just stood and looked at her. Now, THAT is a long day at the office. ;)Last but not least....my sister and the Reverend at my wedding. Whoop. In just 72 days Dr. Jill will marry Justin and I.

We need to stop vacationing and plan the ceremony. :)

So maybe I'm a liar...

I told you in my last post that my new love was the farmers market....and back in December I told you I was engaged and that Justin was the love of my life.
So maybe I'm a liar?

WICKED is the new love of my life!!!
(Boyfriend do NOT be upset....I think the perfect date would be Wicked WITH you.
Amazing right?
If you get a chance to go-GO! It is worth your money!
I know it will be a show I will see time and time again.
What other shows have you seen that you would recommend?

My New Love.

This past weekend I went to visit my sister and some friendlies. They are always doing fun things on the weekends and exploring the area. They took me to the local farmers market and I fell in love. You see....I grew up picking veggies right out of my Memaw and Pawpaw's garden. I'm not so much the cooker (yet) but there is just something about getting your veggies right from the farmer. Take a look at my time at the farmers market....
These first couple just scream FRESHNESS!!
The farmers market also had AMAZING flowers.

Jill and Vicki purchased some of the flowers and we did their flower bed...I think it turned out great! It is so bright and cheerful!

And this my friends is a southern girls dream: Corn, BBQ pork chop, fried okra, grilled asparagus, and grilled squash.

D-LISH!!

Next outing with the crew is TOMORROW. We are going to see WICKED!

I have wanted to see Wicked for so many years and tomorrow it will happen. I am beyond excited, have heard so many great things.

I hope it is all I have heard it is!
